making food




our garden is blooming. we've been eating mixed greens for over a month and finally the cherry tomatoes are turning red! this is one of my favorite meals of the summer and i can't help but love the fact that we grow the three main ingredients ourselves!
CHERRY TOMATOES
WHITE {spring} ONION
BASIL
olive oil
balsamic vinegar
sea salt
goat cheese
{served over} hot jasmine rice

oh. that looks fantastic.
my fav dish with cherry tomatoes is to slow roast them and then toss through pasta with fresh basil, olive oil and balasamic vinegar and then lightly fry some breadcrumbs in butter to sprinkle on top. oh yeah. it's gooooood. xx

reminds me of the good ole duluth days - fun summer days, cherry tomatoes over rice and good friends.
